Victorian Castle in England', this charming new tour takes you to
Highclere Castle, the film location used for ITV’s highly acclaimed
period drama, Downton Abbey. You will also enjoy visits to the historic
University City of Oxford, the Royal town of Windsor, the Georgian City
of Bath, and tour through the beautiful Cotswold’s, visiting
quintessential villages along the way.
Day 1:
Early evening you meet your coach and travel to Belfast, to join the
overnight sailing to Liverpool. Once onboard, a cabin has been arranged.
Day 2:
Arrival in Liverpool is 6:30 am. You rejoin your coach and travel to
your hotel in Swindon, stopping off en route in the spa town of
Cheltenham and charming town of Cirencester, often referred to as 'The
Capital of the Cotswolds'.
Day 3:
Today you travel to Oxford to enjoy a guided walking tour through the
heart of the historic city centre, illustrating the history of Oxford
and its University. Afterwards you have free time to explore the ‘City
of Dreaming Spires’.
Day 4:
After breakfast, you leave your hotel and travel to the beautiful and
historic city of Bath, to visit the magnificent Roman Baths. Afterwards
you have free time to explore the city of Bath, before returning to your
hotel for free time.
Day 5:
Today you visit Highclere Castle, the film location used for ITV’s
Downton Abbey, often described as the 'finest occupied Victorian Castle
in England'. Afterwards you will visit the Royal town of Windsor for
free time, before returning to your hotel.
Day 6:
This morning after breakfast and checking out, you travel to Bourton-on-the-Water
for a taste of olde Cotswold England, followed by Chipping Campden and
the typical Cotswold village of Broadway. Later in the day your coach
will travel to Liverpool to join your overnight sailing to Belfast.
Day 7:
Arrival into Belfast is 6:30 am, you then return to your original
joining point.
